The Venus3D viewer accurately renders the surface of Venus using data from NASA's Magellan satellite. The planet is rendered using up to 1.8 Million polygons, the colours represent altitude. The planet's rotation is controllable via the mouse and the arrow keys allow you to zoom in and out.

This software is crashing on systems running WinXP(not sure about WinNT), it should work fine on Win98. I no longer have the source code for this application so I cannot fix the problem without re-engineering it from the Mars viewer software.
